Chibuike Oparaji Professor Gaines ENG 265 10 April 2008 Merisol Merisol . SHSU Dept of Theater and Dance / April 1, 2008 Merisol is an attention grabbing play from the first to the last scene. The play had not started and yet the set had you gazing at the art work and the poems of the moon. The color filled set was an array of images that were al different but came together to make a beautiful set. The play starts you off with a little confusion of the characters due to their costumes and how they reacting and not reacting. You see a girl holding a machine gun next to people not even questioning her or running with fear. The characters displayed a fictional role witch in no way happen in this day and age. The role of Merisol was a reporter whose guardian angel that protected her against evil thrown her way. An example would be all the sexual assaults that the guardian protected her from came out to be around five or six-thousand. Not only could the angel protect her but in one scene it caused her to feel emotions such as pleasure. Some would say that the play question faith and in a way teased Christianity. In a way it did but there were certain details that just seemed to be mad up which did not correspond with real life. The play tells us that God is getting old and
