A big question in society which is always brought up is whether boys are better than girls in sports. There is no clear cut answer. It is not black and white. Yet, if I had to formulate my own opinion based on my observations and the information provided to me, boys seem to achieve more, compete at higher levels, and overall surpass girls in all variety of sports. However, boys don’t seem better just because they are, but there is something else much deeper under the surface that makes boys this way. The sports environment in which we grow up in is one aspect that usually helps determine the level of ability and skill one has when they are older. In my mind, it is unfair to say boys are better than girls in sports because they are born that way. My opinion is truly based on stats, observations, and information. However, if one digs beyond the surface, all the evidence points to the fact that boys are brought up in a much more aggressive sports oriented environment, apart from that of girls. It is a boy’s nature to be competitive, aggressive, and more physical than girls.
