Purpose of the Research. 1R.Presently very limited work has been done on the mechanical properties of chopped strand mat of E-glass fiber reinforced composites. The present project works aims to prepare E-glass fiber based composite with percentage variation of glass fiber content like 1%, 2% and 3% with using a Bisphenol A as matrix material and conducting the mechanical ( tensile, compressive and flexural) testing on the composite. 2R. The present work describes the development and mechanical characterization of new polymer composites consisting of glass fibre reinforcement, epoxy resin and filler materials such as TiO2 and ZnS. The newly developed composites are characterized for their mechanical properties. Experiments like tensile test, three point bending and impact test were conducted to find the significant influence of filler material on mechanical characteristics of GFRP composites

Purpose of the Research.(Cont..) 3R.Hybrid effect of composites made of jute/E-Glass fibers which are fabricated by hand layup method using LY556 Epoxy resin and HY951 hardener. The properties of this hybrid composite are determined by testing like tensile, flexural, impact, and inter laminar shear strength which are evaluated experimentally according to ASTM standards.
