Mike Copley PEP 291 – Journal 1 2-27-08 Reflect on your first contact with the children Q. How did they react to you? Did they listen to you? Did they accomplish the tasks you stated? A. At first they were shy and they looked scared. But when we got to our area they started to feel comfortable. They started asking questions about what we were going to do. They were excited to start and have a good time. Yes, they listened to us and we never had a problem to get them to do something. In the middle of the first class, Madison started to gives us problems. She didn’t want to do anything and she started to say she wanted to go home. We tried to get her to keep going and have a good time with the other kids. The second week she came in and from the start she didn’t want to do anything. Also, in the second week, we had some minor problems with the boys staying still and keeping them on task. But, we got them to behave and we told them the sooner we get done, the sooner we play a fun game. They accomplished most of the tasks pretty
