In fact, it can even be used as a form of medication with countless benefits. Those suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, and many other diseases can use marijuana to relieve physical pain and stress. Marijuana is proven to be less toxic to humansthan alcohol and is nearly impossible to overdose on. It is also not nearly as addictive as alcohol or tobacco. Yet, alcohol and tobacco are both huge industries in the United states while those who use marijuana are criminalized. This could lead to saving hundreds of billions of dollars every year that could be put back intoAmerica’s unhealthy economy. Even marijuana itself is a cash crop. It could easily bring in billions of dollars to the United States annually. This money could be put into countless beneficial programs such as America’s education system or public parks for communities. Legalizing marijuana would even help in preventing a huge amount of illegal export done by Mexican drug cartel. Tons of people risk going too dangerous sources to get the drug because they have no other choice.
