Control is very important in the management environment and community 2 Question 1 A manager has the responsibility to lead, supervise, motivate, mentor and control other employees in a company. This results in a difference in the overall company’s success. The success of the organization has much to do with manager’s and other senior executives’ performance. To ensure success in the organization now and decades to come, a manager have to play his roles efficiently. Management is about bringing out the best in people. One of the roles of a manager is to lead which in management is an acronym for L (Listen), E (Engage), A (Authorize) and D (Demonstrate.). Managers should be role models for the other employees. They should listen and support the employee ideas. They should focus on company’s strengths and makes improvements on the weaknesses. They should also emphasize on team work. Managers have to ensure that direct reports are trained in job duties. Employees should be planned for initial orientation and any subsequent training they require to perform the job. A manager should evaluate the progress of the employee on a regular basis and decide whether there is a need for additional training. The manager should also make the decision to terminate employees who are unable to perform the job or who break company’s rules and regulations.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
