The LinkedIn profile I analyzed is one of my current connections. At the time we connected, I thought
her profile was exceptional. I’m not sure if she has been active on LinkedIn lately, but I found her profile
to be less than desired from the suggestions the book made.
Her profile picture is current, but you can tell she cropped out the background which does not look
professional. As far as her content being clean and concise, what content? She has her previous
employment listed but she has not detailed out her responsibilities at each employer. Her about me
section is minimal to say the least with only 8 short bullet points of what she is proficient in. Her
headline is to the point but does not capture any attention.
After reviewing the checklist and chapter readings, I would tell her to spend a little more time on her
profile. First, she needs a more professional picture. And a headline that states what she does and
captures attention. Something like “Virtual Assistant Extraordinaire” would attract more attention over
“Virtual Assistant – Administrative Assistant”.
