A CRISIS FOR COCA COLA Scenario 1: A European Crisis for Coca Cola 1. Former Coke CEO Robert Goizueta states, “Business will be the institution of the future. It’s the only global institution” (Greising, 1998, p. 145). Is this accurate? What implications does this have for ICC? Businesses can help the country’s growth and development. To achieve their goals, different companies use different methods. While analyzing the work of the SEMCO group, a Brazilian company, I could see that they were concentrating their efforts on the importance of cultural aspects. This company was able to develop a productive plan, which was able to manage the cultural issue. “Most of the companies expanded their operations and they introduced different tools and strategies for managing the competition in an effective way.”[Gre98] In the case of Coca-Cola, the company had a quality problem that was directly related to their product. The need to maintain high quality standards of their product is one of the reasons they have been able to stay in business for so long. The quality of a product provides the amount of trust you company can have with its clientele, which is very highly coveted in the business world. When a company is able to be fully trusted, it has a strong chance to become an effective global institution.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
