930 Coursework – assignment 3 Introduction Swiss Re International has a branch in Japan. The division carries out the activities of the parent company in the region. The operations are carried out while ensuring that the company avoids a conflict of interest between the smaller company and the parent company. It will always occur when making a transaction, and will often apply between the clients in both companies. There are several significant conflicts of interests. These are personal conflicts, customer disputes, financial conflicts, and conflict arising from business interactions (Study text P97, 2016). Personal conflict of interest Swiss Re must manage the conflict of interest fairly. It is both between the personal conflicts and with clients, and between customers and another client. The conflicts of interest arise due to many reasons. For example, the strategies in place for the remuneration of intermediaries will lack the necessary incentives to prove the best advice for clients. The conflicts arise in regards to differences in with-profit finances or differing generations in the same funding under the same insurer[Rob13]. The allocation of profits will be a cause of personal conflict. It makes it harder for all parties to gain,
