The digital divide is simply used to refer to the technology gap between and within countries that prevent certain sectors of society from attaining the same technological advantage as the more affluent ones. What do you understand to be the author's main point with regards to the digital divide (3 pts)? His main point is that while there is clearly a digital divide both between and within countries, that simply providing poor societies with computers and internet access isnt the solution. We must first understand and improve the social atmosphere of the areas before just forcing these new and unknown technologies on them to figure out.
