Unformatted text preview: BEE 299 Lesson 9 Assignment 1: Part 2 Project - Location and design of a pig farm Purpose: The purpose of the project is to find a location and design which is most suitable and compatible with pigs. This means an area that has rich soil that could sustain the pigs. Also, I would have to find a design for that farm to maximize the space while being cost- efficient. I.e, I don't want to use more or less space than I need. I also have to make sure I am not encroaching on other's people property. I have to be conscious of the population around me. I have to look at the grand scheme of the things when building the farm to make sure I am not causing any harm to another part of my ecosystem. In terms of growth, I would keep in mind that quantitative increases in output (measured by the amount of pigs occupying the farm or some other measure) and consumption (measured by the amount of food and natural resources these pigs consume) will be required in order to meet essential needs for health and to reach levels of potential...
