Our first promotional tactic is aimed toward targeting the lacrosse based segment of Rusty Red’s market. The first phase of this plan is to hold a banquet during the alumni weekend in the September of 2008 to promote Rusty Red and its newly established website. Alumni Weekend involves former Cornell lacrosse players who come back to campus to participate in numerous activities. Saturday of the alumni weekend is the optimal day to provide the wine. The golf outing and evening banquet would be a good platform to introduce Rusty Red and inform the guests of the website. Rusty Red will be present at the golf outing for those who wish to sample. The evening banquet would consist of Rusty Red as the main drink of the night with a brief informative speech giving details about the newly developed website. The golf outing and the banquet are annually scheduled events which would mean that the main costs associated with this weekend would be the cost of supplying the wine.
