THE SITUATION: Debbie owns and operates an Internet search engine. She has hired an advertising firm to design banner ads and pop-up ads that will appear on a web surfer’s screen both when the user generates a search list and when the person checks out a site in response to a search inquiry since both banner ads and pop-up ads are an excellent source of revenue for on- line businesses. The advertisements are tailored to match the search terms that the user has typed into the search. For example, if a visitor searches on the term “golf” he or she might see ads
