Option 2: 1) I don’t think we should do what we have always done because this can have significant repercussions if we are not thinking ahead about the effects of what we are doing. There must be managing and monitoring of our actions especially in a corporate setting where our actions could be potentially harmful. The fact that know one monitoring or managing has changed something for a long period of time should not affect the ability to objectively diagnose every element of a decision and its repercussions, especially involving sustainability. For example, if an oil company does not get taxed for the amount of pollution they produce, like occurred in the early 1900s, it should be taxed when the knowledge and data of the effect of the oil company’s pollution on the environment is presented. Those companies need to be taxed to reduce their pollution and increase their sustainability. 2)
