China has a put more than a hand in when it comes to world history. It is
essential for writing a complete history of the world to include China. An entire chapter
and much are devoted to China in Robert B. Mark’s book, “The Origins of the Modern
World” (2007). Also in Nayan Chandra’s book “Bound Together” (2007) in his index he
marks page references to china over one-hundred times. Both Marks (2007) and
Chandra (2007) depict a history of the last half of millennia. These books come also
come to terms with how human history has come to be today; yet, what about
tomorrow? In Peter Navarro’s book, “The Coming China Wars” (2007), Navarro attempts
to illustrate China’s future as a function of today. In his dedication he says “…What
deeply concerns me is a single country – China…” and he goes on to reason why, “The
coming china wars will be fought over everything…”. He believes China to be an
imminent threat to the rest of the world, and his goal is through his book warn the rest of
the world and urge them to take action.
A staple in this book is an overall feeling of fear and despair. There is nothing
