Music Theory 12 bar blues - I-IV-V Chords Most com m only us ed chords in rock m usic. Triads based on the 1 st , 4 th , and 5 th notes of a scale (do, fa, and so) Roman numerals used to minimize confusion amoung classical and jazz muscians since numbers are also used to describe beats, bars, and other notes in a chord.
