Actively fused country music and R&B Popularized rock and roll on an international level Recorded in rockabilly, gospel, pop styles -Sun Records Founded by produer Sam Phillips in Memphis, TN Elvis’ Sun recordings are considered by many to be his best (“That’s Allright Mama”, “Mystery Train”, “Blue Moon of Kentucky”, etc.) In 1955, Phillips sold Presley’s contract to RCA for $35,000
