Course Description: This course provides students with a basic understanding of the smallest unit of life, cells, how cells function and reproduce to make new cells and gametes, and how cells communicate with one another within tissues and organs. This course will also introduce students to molecular mechanisms of gene expression and perpetuation of cellular information as well as mechanisms and properties of heredity.
