Wal-Mart For quite some time Wal-Mart has been given the reputation of the store that has everything you  need at lower prices, but the shopping experience is so terrible that customers are shopping at  other stores paying higher prices to not deal with the hassle of their poor shopping experience.  Wal-Mart has also been at the center of employment-related litigation and criticism. Claims have  been made stating that the company offers skimpy benefits packages to their employees. In turn, Wal-Mart has vowed to make the company a better place to work. To do this, they are  combining its founding principles of employee and store level empowerment with new  technologies and a number of employee development programs. Today, all supervisors receive  training on diversity issues. The retailer also conducts women in leadership and mentoring  programs to help employees further their careers. They also conduct frequent employee
