4/17/07 Meaning in public buildings Building like a book, document Has context/meaning Visual communication 3 ways we communicate visually 1. literal direct communication – literally something – look + that’s what’s meant to think a lot. Ex) billboards 2. literal indirect communicate – see something + supposed to associate it w/ something else (indirectly representing) 3. abstract – not seeing anything literal – visual traits giving us feeling in an abstract way Hindu Temples, Khajuraho, India, 930 – 1050 A.D. -pure commucation (40 – 50 of these temples) -religious center -communicate something about Hinduism – like billboards -effort put into it 1. all about meaning + comm.. 2. so important to them b/c comm.. about their religion - priests lived here + ppl sent their kids to be raised by priests. Priests would train them for religion. @17-18 they would go home (young men) priests connect celibacy + religion connection. So @ 18 return to family + parents do arranged marriage – so many.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
