Nate Christensen BTW 250 Fall Semester Prof. John O’Connor Ch. 1 & 7 Response I would like to start the semester out on the positive side so I’ll start out with what I like about both chapters one and seven. Each chapter gave great examples and visuals, especially in chapter seven where there were several resume examples and tips. The examples in chapter one were plentiful and gave numerous ways to think about how to start introductions as well as conclusions. Chapter one also gave several revision checklists to look at after you are finished with your final product or even while you’re still writing your paper which I’m sure will be handy to use this semester in several of my classes, as many of them involve a lot of writing. The digital tips in both chapters were well presented and gave useful information and such that I never knew about like the writers’ wiki’s online. Chapter one specifically points out and reinforces several times that the author of any paper or piece of work should always be aware of the purpose of the paper and to constantly be thinking about your audience, chapter one reinforced those
