Why Matlab in Simulink? Often, the problem we want to solve is not clearly  one type of model or the other (Matlab/Simulink) We may have  existing code we want to reuse a particular routine that is not easily implementable in  Simulink In these cases we can use the functionality of matlab  within our Simulink model…
Image of page 2
How to do this? There are two primary methods (of  interest to us) for implementing such a  scheme; 1. The “Fcn” block 2. The “Embedded Matlab Function” block We will consider each of those today…

The Simulink “fcn” block This block allows you to enter your own  “function”  into the simulink model.  Limitations – it is really an equation, not a  fully useable function Located in the user-defined functions  library

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
