SOCIOLOGY: UNIT 1 ASSIGNMENTIntroductionThe scientific sociology,interpretive sociology and critical sociology are the three known ways of studying sociology.Research conducted show that human beings go through this way in different situations, and depending on the environment around them. We learn from the environment around us, the kind of people surrounding us and generally the culture we associate with. This then calls for an application of a specific method of study in trying to analyze and interpret all these traits in totality. Below are the contrast and comparison of the methods used to study sociology in general.Scientific method bases on science in its study in that it uses certain steps and procedure whichare precisely followed, for instance, in problem formulation, the following steps are followed: Formulation of hypothesis,observation of the collection of data,analysis and synthesis,generalization and final formulation of the theory and law. According to scientific sociology,It is often believed that the dissimilarities in the social manners of women and men reflect “human nature. Generally, human nature is reflected in the society in which we come from or live in. For instance. Many consider that people marry for love. Sociological research shows that marriages in most societies have little to do with love.2
