INTB 3351 History of Globalization Video Study Guide The Corporation , Parts 1-4 These video clips are from the documentary, "The Corporation" (2004), which charts the historic rise of the corporation as a pervasive force in our lives. 1. The first chapter asks interviewees to search for metaphors to describe what a Corporation is and does. Which metaphor do you find most apt? I find the metaphor regarding a cooperation being compared to the telephone system. Corporations are so widespread around the world that they are hard for anyone to avoid purchasing services or products from any corporations. Also that corporations do connect people from all over the world to either work together to either reach a common goal for a single entity, the corporation, or multiple entities while at the same time expanding their business to provide the same services or goods all around the world. 2.
