A student who merits an “A” for Class Participation • is consistently prepared for class (has done the reading beforehand and has something to say about it); • consistently participates in discussion with relevant, respectful comments; • demonstrates a courteous, engaged attitude toward the professor and fellow classmates; • gives full attention to peers’ work in reading groups, offering substantive, constructive written and verbal comments;
