April 28, 2008 Intro to Philosophy Assignment #4   Case A: After mulling over this situation for a while I’ve come to the conclusion that in order to create the greatest level of happiness Xerxes would want to avoid telling Wolfram that Vita despises him and thinks he is a creep. Even though it would seem that telling Wolfram that Vita is in love with him would create a greater level of happiness for Wolfram I feel that this would ultimately cause more trouble than good. By telling Wolfram that Vita was in love with him Vita would be terribly annoyed and troubled by the situation that would be brought on by telling such a lie. This would lead to Vita becoming unhappy and would in turn most likely make Xerxes unhappy because Vita would confront him for telling Wolfram such a thing. At some point I believe Vita would reveal to Wolfram that she is not in love with him. Thus creating troubles between both of them as well as causing pain for Wolfram by possibly losing his friend or at least losing his friends trust. Xerxes
