TO: Ostrovskaya FROM: Subject: Writing a technical memorandum Date: September 4, 2007 Summery The campus wants its own students to come up with plausible designs and a scale model for the task at hand, building a bridge. Students are divided into groups of four with each student making their own design and testing it through a scale model made with a super mag kit. The specifications for the scale model are 4.3-5.3 inches long and 1-2 inches high. The bridge will be tested by distributing a load of two pounds, it must be stable while also cost efficient. What i plan to do is use triangles for structure stability on the sides with squares on the bottom and the top. Method Using triangles on the side of my bridge helps even out the load weight while making the floor stable. For the floor and the top i used three squares. The two ends have cross beams and the center has a cross with a ball joint which has beams reaching up to the sealing for three dimensional stability. I first started with the two

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
