Managing Interdependence Integrity: conducting yourself in a manner which is self imposed and defined by a firm adherence to a code of moral values. Interdependence: the creation of cooperation between counties, companies or other corporate stakeholders – not confrontation. The opposite of interdependence is independence. Risks of Interdependence for an MNC: 1. Nationalism: public opinion is rallied in favor of national goals and against foreign influences 2. Protectionism: closing of borders by using tariffs and other methods. 3. Governmentalism: policy setting to favor national interests/businesses. Enron: By controlling information the corporate actions benefited one stakeholder group - management. These actions were eventually deemed criminal in nature. B.
