Unformatted text preview: HONORS PROGRAM BYU Last Revised: June 4, 2007 102A MSRB Provo, Utah 84602 (801) 422-5497 honors@byu.edu www.byu.edu/honors G REAT W ORKS R ESPONSE G UIDELINES Response Requirements Write two responses from each of the six Great Works categories: literature, art, film, music, science & technology, and theater Responses must be written in English on a work from one of the items recorded in your Great Works Experience Log Responses should be a minimum of two pages, double-spaced Papers written for other classes can be submitted as Great Works Responses but must conform to the response requirements outlined below Responses must include o succinct but savvy historical contextualization o informed critical analysis (your own) o thoughtful personal reflection Use a consistent format (APA, MLA, Chicago Manual, etc.) for any texts cited in the response It is appropriate to indicate the three sections with bolded headings The Great Works Responses will be submitted with your Honors Portfolio, which an Honors representative will read...
