1 Course Syllabus ECE 634 – Signals & Systems II Spring 2009 Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of New Hampshire Catalog Description: Transient response analysis of linear systems using Laplace transforms, application to feedback control systems. Introduction to discrete-time linear systems; system response determination using Z-transform; elementary design of digital filters and controllers. State variable formulation of dynamical systems. Prereq: ECE 633 or permission. 3 Credits. Course Objectives: This course is the second of a series of two (ECE 633 & 634) designed to connect real systems to their underling mathematical descriptions and to establish the foundation for subsequent courses in communication systems, control systems, and digital signal processing.
