This combination of four devoted employees creates a work team as opposed to a work group because each individual is collectively working towards the greater good of the group. A collective performance creates positive synergy through coordinated effort, and that’s clear through the great connection that these four individuals share. All of their skills are complementary and each member of the group feeds off of each other’s successes. An example of this is the ability of Cy Crane to create an innovation that increases his team member’s productivity and efficiency. 2. In this case, all four members of this work team have acted unethically. They created a secret away from their company policies for personal benefits. While it was personally and morally the right thing to do, it was a professionally unethical action to take. Nobody wants one of their friends to lose their job. Even though
