Leon Jang PHIL 1000 – Section 1 Philosophy Paper #1 If you could relive a situation over and over again, which situation would you relive? In Run Lola Run, Lola invariably goes through the same situation over and over again with different outcomes in each scenario. The constants in each scenario is that she gets a phone call from Manni, her boyfriend, runs to her dad to ask for a loan, and she needs to get 100,000 Marks within 20 minutes or else Ronnie will kill him. Through the many scenarios we discover evidence of Hard determinism, Compatabilism, and Libertarianism. In the first situation we find Lola scrambling down the stairs, on her way to the bank she runs into a woman with a baby. Once she gets to the bank she interrupts her father and his secretary in a seemingly important conversation. Her dad escorts her out of the bank and Lola begins running again. On her way there she meets an ambulance which promptly stops when seeing people walking across the road with a plane of glass. Manni,
