Christopher Evans Psych1  Personality assignment 4/29/07 The big five theory of personality essentially breaks up a person’s personality into the  categories of openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. By  taking a measure of each of these, one is able to determine the balance between them, and  thus how the person is most likely to behave given what their personality shows. With the results that I received, they basically told me I was an introvert who had high  goals and was pretty easy to get along with. Although my neurotic score was high, which  indicates that I get stressed or mad easily if things are not where they should be. Given what I

Unformatted text preview: learned from this I really don’t think that this predicts how I will do in my academic life. Although I may prefer solitude during my free time, when it comes to socializing in class or in other academic environments, I have no problem being the outspoken one. And concerning my future career of being a psychologist, I think that it kind fits how I should be. I am focused and have set plans, am agreeable and approachable, and I’m concerned with others for the most part. Thus, when it comes to helping others for a living, the scores indicate that I would be best suited for this type of close and personal career....
