Final Exam Review KINE – 303 Physiology of Exercise Spring2007 Final Exam Review Please use this review as a resource to help you prepare for the final exam. This review is NOT all inclusive. Please review the chapters, lecture material, and labs as well. The final exam will cover material from exam 1, exam 2, and labs. This review is for the material covered after exam 2 . Identify the components and functions of the cardiovascular system. Structure of cardiovascular system—differences in pressure and resistance. Be familiar with blood flow through the heart. What stimulates myocardial cells to contract? Cardiac pacemaker? Role of sympathetic and parasympathetic activation on frequency and strength of cardiac contraction. Explain the cardiac cycle. Discuss the relationship between pressure and volume during systole and diastole. The vasculature – structure and function. - know where gas exchange takes place. -
