Implementation: The integration of Carrier B into the Company while retaining its Midwest operations center does not come without its challenges. From an operational standpoint there are several key success factors to consider during the implementation of our plan, the first being cohesion. The WNOC operation center proved to be a costly failure for the Company because it continued to operate as a separate entity after its acquisition. Only a few management level employees were transferred between the new operations center and the legacy operations center, and former Carrier A employees were not successfully merged into the Company system. The Company’s legacy operations center and Carrier B’s operations center need to reach a level of cohesion and synergy in order to find a combined operating level to effectively serve customers across the expanded networks. In order to achieve this type of consistency, there needs to be a clear level of communication between the different centers.
