At the Oklahoma League for the Blind, workers are provided with premium vocational, rehabilitative and educational training. They receive both life skills as well as vocational skills. The Oklahoma League for the Blind operates under the supervision of the Javits- Wagner-O’Day Program. This program, based on the Wagner-O’Day Act passed by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938, coordinates government purchases of products and services from nonprofit organizations that employ blind and severely disabled workers.
