Not same as the terrorist crimes motivation but their spiritual longing into murder Terrorists’ motivation to murder -apocalyptic violence to cleanse the world of impurities Terrorist Perspective -to purify world of injustice, cruelty, antihuman& create a perfect world, responding to a spiritual calling (spiritual high or addiction) Reason for joining terrorist group : transform themselves “ TRANSCENDENCE ” (desired by human nature & attraction for religious violence) to simplify life no more uncertainty & ambivalence 3 )take new identity as martyrs despite previous identity of being second class sacrifice such as suicide will serve public good Extreme dichotomy between good vs. evil & victim vs. oppressor by justifying their cause and evil action politically and MORALLY God is on your side “God shaped hole” being terrorist becomes a career by forming organization 8) benefits gained from joining group includes money, political power & attention, spiritual & emotional benefits
