Unformatted text preview: Section 206 The average price of fuel in the United States is constantly changing due to the varying oil prices worldwide. AAA provides data collected daily regarding the average fuel prices throughout the nation on their website. By analyzing this data, it is easy to follow the trends of the ever changing fuel prices in the United States. Data showing the average state by state fuel prices was obtained from the website on 9-18- 07, displayed in a histogram; the data shows that in most states, the current average price of unleaded fuel was between $2.60 and $3.00 per gallon. The data comparing the current average price of diesel and premium fuel from state to state was also collected on 9-18-07. It showed in the scatter plot that, on average, premium fuel was 10 cents more per gallon than diesel fuel. After analyzing the data based on current state by state fuel price averages, the average price of unleaded fuel in Colorado over the past thirteen weeks was analyzed.
