You are writing a memo to your employees telling them why the airline is doing so well, and thus why, after 25 years, no one will be laid off during this economically challenging time. Some of the reasons why NorthEast is doing so well include: You hedged on gas prices and bought fuel futures when the cost was low You have a linear, not hub and spoke, route system that serves major and minor cities with great efficiency
