Body Comp lab 4/8/08 Body Composition Determination Lab   Lean Mass Fat Mass Body Fat Percentage Skin Fold Tester one 55.41 kg 8.08 kg 12.738% Skin Fold Tester two 55.41 kg 8.08 kg 12.738% DEXA 45 kg 16.4 kg 26.4% 1.  a.  Using the skinfold test, there are errors associated like human error in  that different testers could have grabbed more skin than another, held the  skin for to long (longer than 2 secs), not placing the caliper the right  distance from the finger pinch (1 cm away).  With the DEXA scan, the  scale could have projected a different weight than another scale (which it  did) which could lead to error, this is also true with height. 2. b.  My DEXA scan projected my body fat to be 26.4% whereas the skinfold  caliper test projected my body fat to be 12.738%.  Looking at these two  values, there is a fairly large difference between the two tests.  The skin  fold caliper test is definitely prone to human error, the tester could have  had trouble reading the mm lines on the calipers, the tester could have
