Marketing Research Homework # 2 9/16/2008 1. The secondary data provided for Noodles and Co. can help to determine the best possible location for my new store. Looking at the average weekly sales for each of the stores, you can determine which store performs the best. After you determine the store or stores you want your new one to perform like, you need to look at all of the characteristics of the area around the store from 1 and 3 miles away and try to match that with the demographics in your new location. 2. The criterion for this decision would be the average weekly sales for the new store. If we are not gaining the sales we want or need, we did not make the right location decision. We want our store to make a profit, which we can determine by its average weekly sales. 3. In the 1-mile radius, the Median Household Income ranges from $49,673 (store 81) to $84,968 (store 80).
