Levels of Involvement Use: Moderate amounts that do not interfere with functioning Intoxication: Impaired judgment, mood change, lowered motor ability Abuse: Disruptive to education, job, relationships, put user in dangerous situations Dependence: Addiction. Physiological dependence, tolerance, withdrawal symptoms, or increased drug-seeking behaviors and psychological dependence.
