Shaianne Munoz05/22/2021Dr. Jennie WillisBZ 479Research Paper ProposalFor this paper I am going to be asking “Are dogs that are seen as aggressive more likely to displayaggressive behavior than those who are seen as friendly?” My hypothesis for this question is that anydog who is raised poorly or not properly introduced to other people or dogs is more likely to show signsof aggressive behavior compared to dogs who are properly raised regardless of their breed. This is atopic that I’ve decided to focus on because of my past and current history working with dogs. Mediamakes many dog breeds seem much more aggressive than they are without adding information as towhy events such as dog attacks occur. While volunteering at Dumb Friends League many of the‘aggressive’ dogs had the longest stays such as pit bulls, this was as due to the fact that for many yearsbully breeds were illegal in Denver and many surrounding counties. My goal is to have a betterunderstanding regarding the stigma about these aggressive breeds and possibly spread accurateinformation.
