But not necessarily much before. Syllabus dates are somewhat tentative Quiz dates are fixed in stone Jeff Linderoth IE426:Lecture 1 Course Details Learning is better if you participate. I will call on you during class. (Gasp!) A portion of your grade depends on your participation. Five Problem Sets I will probably throw in a few extra credit problems with each homework assignment. The third problem set will be the hardest – I will probably count it more Don’t be late! 10% Grade penalty for every late day. No exception! Two Quizzes: Scheduled on dates that I need to be out of town. 9/28, 11/7 Don’t take a make-up quiz. It is unlikely you will do well. Jeff Linderoth IE426:Lecture 1 Case Studies We will break up into groups of 3–4 people each. I am not sure about the impact of this for our off-site students. Each group will be responsible for preparing comprehensive solution to a given practical decision problem.
