Dear all, Here are some guidelines to write better vocabulary questions: 1. Prepare the quiz in word format before your instructor makes comment on it. 2. Read all comments provided by your instructor and make necessary changes accordingly. 3. Check various VOCABULARY ACTIVITIES ON WEBCT. See how GOOD questions are written. 4. Check FOR GRAMMAR- SPELLING, PUNCTUATION. 5. Make sure you are testing 1 thing at a time. For example: Do not test the grammar of the word and the meaning at the same time. 6. Make sure you use the same word form in multiple choice questions. If you are asking for a noun, all items in the choices given are NOUNS. 7. Check whether you have provided adequate CONTEXT / CONTENT for your reader. EXPLAIN WHY X CAUSES Y. (PROVIDE BACKGROUND INFORMATION) 8. Make sure you give FULL statements, NOT incomplete expressions. 9. Write challenging questions appropriate for UPPER LEVEL. 10. EDIT YOUR WORK AMONG YOUR GROUP BEFORE SENDING THEM TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
