Unformatted text preview: Next Step: The debate over the efficacy of bilingual instruction has gone on for years and will most likely continue in this country. Browse the Internet for articles on both sides of this subject, and write about your views in a paper. I am a huge advocate for Bilingual Education. For my English 102 research paper, I researched, wrote about, and advocated for bilingual education. I have done extensive research on the efficacy of bilingual education, and in my opinion, it all boils down to which method of BE is more effective. There are three different methods of instruction in a bilingual classroom: English Immersion, Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE), and Two-Way Bilingual Education (TWBE). Immersion does exactly what it implies: it completely immerses children into an English-only speaking classroom.
