Problem Set #2 ME 152B Winter, 2008 Due 5pm Friday, Jan. 23 Midterm Wednesday Feb 4 Reading: Munson, et al, Chapter 8, Sections 8.1, 8.2(should be review), 8.3, 8.4.1: Chapter 9, Sections 9.1, 9.2.1, 9.2.2, 9.2.4, 9.2.5, 9.2.6, 9.3, 9.4.1. Problem 1 . Work Problem 7.17. Be sure to use only the variable list given in the problem. Hint: Try to find the Pi groups by inspection. Comment: This problem shows one of the powers of dimensional analysis, which is we can predict what will happen if certain physical quantities are changed. Problem 2. Work Problem 7.67.
