Exploring the Diversity of Agriculture Ms. Russ 10 th Grade Agriculture This project will challenge you to explore the diversity of agriculture at a global level. As a class, you will be exploring 6 Spanish-speaking countries in South America. These countries include: Ecuador, Venezuela, Columbia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. You will be split into groups of 3-4 students. As a group, you will choose a country to research. Through your research, you will learn about the commodities within your chosen country. As a group you will be responsible for answering the following questions: 1) On a current map of your country, highlight all of the areas in which your commodity is currently being grown. Do you see any similar land/ area characteristics to which your commodity is being grown? 2) What major farming practices are used in your country? What farming practices are used to grow your given commodity? If there are multiple practices, which one, do you as a group, feel helps to produce the best yield or quality of crop?
