Data Analysis875.1 IntroductionThis chapter includes analysing the data of three automobile companies in the Financialand Non-financial Performance sector that calculated the impact of strategic planningon them. In financial section, for each automobile company, the financial ratios usedfor analysing data. Net Profit Ratio, Return on Assets Ratio, Total Debt Ratio andCurrent Ratio are calculated from 2013-14 to 2017-18.In Non-financial Performance, the role of Strategic Planning on Non-financialperformance is calculated in three segments for each automative company. in the firstsegment, the effect of Operational, Financial, Structural Flexibility is determineddirectly on the Non-financial Performance of the company. in second segment, theimpact of Operational, Financial, Structural Flexibility is indirectly measured byTechnological Flexibility as a mediator on Non-financial Performance of the company.In the third segment, the impact of Non-financial Performance is calculated. Eachcompany has five Hypothesis in the non-financial segment.
Data Analysis885.2 Financial Performance Analysis5.2.1Tata Motorsi)Net Profit RatioDiagram 5.1Net Profit Ratio of Tata Motors from 2013-14 to 2017-18Tata Motors has Net Profit Ratio of 0.877 in 2013-14 showing that the company has noadequate profitability during this year. But 2014-15 Net Profit Ratio was (12.41) andTata motors incurring huge net losses and not profit. The Net Profit Ratio in 2015-16is 0.525 indicating that the company does not have adequate profitability in this year.Tata Motors has Net Profit Ratio of (4.761) in 2016-17 indicating that the company hashuge net losses during these years. The Net Profit Ratio in 2014-15, 2016-17 and 2017-18 shows managerial inefficiency and excessive selling and distribution expenses in thecompany. This shows that company does not efficiently maintain control over its totalexpenses. Thus, during these financial years, the operational efficiency of the companywas weak.
