Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, residents of Sparksville. We are here this evening to discuss some of the economic problems that we are experiencing here in Sparksville following the departure of High Tech. As you all are aware, Sparksville is having some economic concernsdue to the loss of employment at High Tech. As Mayor, it is my job to figure out ways in which to increase productivity, and decrease the unemployment rate in Sparksville. However, this task is not an easy one. We need to find a solution that will not only bring jobs to our community, butan industry base that cannot be off-shored or relocated . In addition, Sparksville needs an industry with the potential for long term growth and sustainability. We have narrowed it down to three choices. The first one is Direct-to-You Furniture Distribution Center, which would be a state-of-the-art furniture distribution center, that would provide 250 jobs to our community. The second one is Epic Generation Automotive, which is a hybrid car manufacturing company. Epic Generation has told me that they would provide 1,000 job positions that would need to be filled. The last one is Reliance Oil, which is an oil refinery. They would need to fill 2,000 positions, with a wide range of skill levels needed.
